Below are some of Lifes Greatest Joys that I have experienced over my almost 67 years on this earth. Some are greater then others, but they all bring a Sence of Joy and Warmth to our Hearts. These are the moments we cherish and look forward to.
Your Wedding Day! The preparation and hard work that go into a Wedding is in most cases, so well worth it. Each step along the way is an exciting path that leads to the Wedding. From the Engagement, to the Invitations, to the Wardrobe, to the Securing of the Reception Hall, the Rings, the Menu, it all builds up to the Wedding and Reception. It’s a day full of smiles and your adrenaline is pumping and it’s almost like an out of body experience. Just being able to have all your family and friends their to Congratulate You and share in your Joy is the BEST of the BEST.
The Birth of Your Child! This for me was trully the most joyful day of my entire life, each time one of my children were born. When each birth, I was over the moon. I felt like I was floating on Air. It was such a surreal feeling and I know I couldn’t stop smiling. Watching a baby being born is truly amazing and such a miricle. It was the highest of highs.
Nature is one of my greatest joys. Seeing the Majestic Mountains and the Oceans and the occasional wild animal is truly breathtaking. Some of my favorite places is the Pacific Coast Highway or Highway 1 along the Pacific Ocean. It is 650 miles of the most beautiful coastal scenery I have ever seen. Just amaizng views. The Great Smoky Mountains along the Tennessee and Georgia border are also stunning. And of course you can’t forget the Grand Canyon with it majestic beauty along with National Parks of the USA. So Much Beauty in our Country.
Traveling around our country and internationally has truly brought me great joy. So much to learn and see and appreciate. I have always been a wanderer throughout my life. I’ve always liked the stability of a Home Base and traveling to and from this point. I am not one to move permantley to different places. Traveling is in my opinion one of the greatest learning tools we have. It definity broadens your horizons and it teaches you about other cultures and history. It teaches you to be humble, and to appreciate the little things in life. Teaches you to be spontaneous, not take things for granted, how to make friends with strangers, to be patient, and to leave your confort zone and try new things.
The Greatest Joy for most of us is our families. Raising your Children and then having Grandchildren and watching and witnessing the Circle of Life is truly the best. The joy and comfort you recieve from your brothers and sisters and your grandparents and cousins and Aunts and Uncles will be with you your entire life, long after they left this earth. It’s amazing to me that the memory of someone who is no longer hear, can bring a smile to my face and warmth in my soul. The good memories always last forever. Thankful we have the capacity to remember and those memories can and will sustain us when our loved ones are gone.
Some of my favoirte places to visit are: Chicago, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Grand Canyon, New York City, Gatlinberg, Nashville , Ashville, San Francisco, Washington DC, Seattle, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, California, Neveda, Mackinac Island, Provicetown, Key West, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, St Augustine, Canada, London, Paris and hopefully in the near future I can add to this list.
